Leasing & Hire Purchase
Leasing & Hire Purchase
We offer the financing options leasing and hire purchase for selected products exclusively to entrepreneurs, businesses, and self-employed individuals, starting from a net purchase value of €1,000. Below you will find the key differences between the two forms of financing.
Leasing
Under a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in return for regular lease payments. The product is recognized on the lessor’s balance sheet. As a rule, lease payments can be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and VAT is charged throughout the entire term. Once the agreed basic lease term has expired, the product can generally be purchased.
Hire purchase
In economic terms, hire purchase is equivalent to an installment purchase. The product is recognized as an asset on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official AfA depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire-purchase installment, ownership of the asset transfers to the hire purchaser. VAT must be paid in full with the first hire-purchase installment (a pass-through item).

Comprag DV11 – variable-speed screw compressor with 11 kW, 1:1 direct drive, and demand-based compressed air generation
The Comprag DV11 is designed for businesses where compressed air demand is not constant – and this is precisely where the DV series demonstrates its greatest strength. The integrated variable frequency drive continuously adjusts the compressor speed to actual consumption. As a result, the compressor supplies only the amount of air currently required, keeps the network pressure stable, and reduces unnecessary idling and switching losses.
The generously sized screw element is directly connected to the electric motor via a flexible coupling. The 1:1 direct drive requires no belts or transmission stages, reduces moving wear parts, and transfers the motor power directly to the compressor. The result is a powerful, easy-to-maintain, and economical compressed air supply for demanding continuous operation.

Variable speed control – compressed air according to actual demand
A pressure sensor monitors the current system pressure. If consumption changes, the variable frequency drive automatically adjusts the motor speed. Instead of constantly switching between full load and idling, the DV11 operates according to demand within its control range. In addition, the variable frequency drive reduces starting currents and relieves the motor and electrical components.
The key benefits of variable frequency control:
✔ The motor speed and delivery volume follow the actual compressed-air demand.
✔ Idle times and frequent load changes are reduced.
✔ The operating pressure remains more stable even when demand fluctuates.
✔ The soft start reduces electrical peak currents and protects the components.
✔ This saves energy, especially with varying load profiles.
1:1 direct drive – efficient, robust, and low-maintenance
The motor and screw element are directly connected via a flexible coupling. This eliminates belt slip, belt replacement, and losses caused by transmission stages. Fewer moving parts mean less wear, direct power transmission, and high operational reliability.
The key benefits of the 1:1 direct drive:
✔ Direct power transmission from the motor to the screw element via a flexible coupling.
✔ No belts, no belt tensioning, and no belt wear.
✔ Lower transmission losses and therefore high efficiency.
✔ Less maintenance and lower ongoing service costs.
✔ Robust, smooth-running continuous operation with high operational reliability.
Design and high-quality components
Inside, an energy-efficient screw element, a reliable electric motor with thermal motor protection, an effective oil separation system, and the professional v-Log controller work together. Internal pressure losses are kept low by design, while the air-oil separation limits the residual oil content at the outlet to a maximum of 3 mg/m³ according to the manufacturer.
Key components at a glance:
✔ Screw element: compresses the intake air efficiently and continuously.
✔ Electric motor: drives the compressor directly via the flexible coupling.
✔ Intake filter: protects the compressor from dust and particles in the ambient air.
✔ Air-oil receiver and separation system: separate the oil-air mixture and reduce residual oil content.
✔ Oil filter and thermostatic valve: ensure lubrication and stable operating temperatures.
✔ Cooler and fan: reliably dissipate heat from the oil and compressed-air circuits.
✔ v-Log controller: monitors operating conditions, messages, and service intervals.
v-Log control and networking
The v-Log controller monitors automatic operation and provides the operator with key process values such as operating pressure, air-oil mixture temperature, and operating times. Multiple compatible compressors can be coordinated via the group control. For integration into a higher-level control system or control room, the controller supports MODBUS RTU.
Compressed air quality and treatment
The compressor produces oil-lubricated compressed air. According to the Comprag catalog, compressed air up to Class 4:4:4 in accordance with ISO 8573-1:2010 is possible in a suitably designed system. The quality class actually achieved depends on the downstream treatment equipment. For dry, application-appropriate filtered air, a compressed-air receiver, refrigerated dryer or desiccant dryer, as well as suitable prefilters, fine filters, and activated-carbon filters, should be provided depending on the application.
Installation, operation, and maintenance
The compressor requires a level surface suitable for its total weight, as well as adequate ventilation and air extraction. According to the operating manual, at least 1.5 m of clearance must be provided around the system from walls and adjacent compressors. Hot cooling air must be discharged without obstruction; electrical installation, protection, and commissioning must be carried out by qualified personnel.
The maintenance schedule calls for daily checks as well as staged maintenance at 500, 2,000, 4,000, and 6,000 operating hours. The operating manual, the actual operating conditions, and the controller’s maintenance indicator are always decisive. Original filters, separators, oil, and maintenance kits help maintain operational reliability and performance.
Typical applications
The Comprag DV11 is particularly suitable for industrial and commercial compressed-air networks with fluctuating consumption—for example in production, metalworking, CNC manufacturing, assembly, painting, blasting, packaging, workshops, and automated systems. With a constant base-load demand, it can also be combined with other compressors to form an energy-optimized station.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the DV series variable-speed controlled?
So that the delivered air volume automatically follows the current compressed-air consumption. This reduces idle times, keeps the network pressure stable, and can significantly lower energy costs.
What does 1:1 direct drive mean?
The electric motor transfers its power directly to the screw block via a flexible coupling. There is no belt drive or additional gear stage.
Can the DV11 be integrated into a control room?
Yes. The v-Log controller supports MODBUS RTU and also enables group control of multiple compatible compressors.
Is a refrigerated dryer included?
No. The dryer, compressed-air receiver, and filters are sized separately according to the required compressed-air quality.
Which version is right?
The 5–8 bar version delivers the higher air volume. The 5–10 bar version is intended for applications with higher network pressure. The decisive factors are actual consumption, the required minimum pressure, and sufficient performance reserve.
