Wet blast head WBA, 50 mm coarse thread, tungsten carbide
The Contracor WBA wet blasting head is installed between the nozzle holder and the blast nozzle, introducing water directly into the blast stream. This effectively reduces dry dust generation during blasting work. The head features a 50 mm coarse thread and is supplied without a blast nozzle.

Leasing & Hire Purchase
Leasing & Hire Purchase
We offer the financing options leasing and hire purchase exclusively to businesses, commercial operators and self-employed persons for selected products with a net order value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between the two forms of financing.
Leasing
With leasing, the product is made available to the lessee for use in return for regular lease payments. The asset is recognized on the lessor’s balance sheet. Lease payments can generally be claimed as operating expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and VAT is charged throughout the entire term. Once the agreed minimum lease term has expired, purchasing the product is generally possible.
Hire purchase
In economic terms, hire purchase is equivalent to an installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Ownership of the asset transfers to the hire purchaser upon payment of the final hire-purchase installment. VAT must be paid in full with the first hire-purchase installment (a pass-through item).
Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
We ship our goods either via parcel service or via a freight forwarding company, depending on their size, weight and characteristics. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.
The delivery times stated in the online shop are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly agreed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.

As a result, delivery times may differ from the stated guidelines. In particular, material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure or other circumstances for which we are not responsible may result in delivery delays.

We accept no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, upstream suppliers, transport companies or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages, in particular indirect damages, consequential damages or loss of profit, is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Partial deliveries are permitted insofar as they are reasonable for the customer. They will not result in additional shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.

Contracor WBA – wet blasting head made of tungsten carbide with 2 × 50 mm coarse thread
The Contracor WBA is a wet blasting head for retrofitting a water supply at the nozzle area. It is installed between the nozzle holder and blast nozzle and reduces dust generation by deliberately wetting the blasting stream.
The WBA has two 50 mm coarse threads: A 50 mm male thread is used for installation in the matching nozzle holder. On the opposite side, there is a 50 mm female thread into which a suitable blast nozzle with a 50 mm coarse thread is screwed. The blast nozzle is not included.
The wear-exposed components made of tungsten carbide are designed for professional use. The WBA is particularly suitable for upgrading existing pressure blasting equipment for lower-dust operations.
Your benefits at a glance

📦 Scope of delivery
✔ Water supply at the blast head
A blast nozzle with a 50 mm coarse thread is not included and must be ordered separately.
Technical data

Function
The WBA supplies water directly at the blast outlet. The water surrounds some of the escaping dust particles and binds them at the point of origin. This keeps the field of view clearer and reduces dust exposure in the surrounding area.
Typical areas of application
✔ Rust removal and paint stripping
✔ Corrosion protection work
✔ Renovation and restoration
✔ Work in dust-sensitive areas
✔ Mobile construction-site operations
Installation and compatibility
The 50 mm male thread of the WBA is screwed into a suitable nozzle holder. A separately available blasting nozzle with a 50 mm coarse thread is then screwed into the 50 mm female thread of the WBA. The wet sandblasting head is therefore positioned between the nozzle holder and the blasting nozzle.
Before installation, check that the nozzle holder, WBA, and blasting nozzle are compatible in terms of threads and sealing surfaces. All connections must be fully screwed in, leak-tight, and secured against unintentional loosening. The water connection must also be leak-tight and pressure-resistant.
Maintenance and safety
✔ Keep the external and internal threads clean
✔ Check sealing surfaces and nozzle seals
✔ Check the water connection for leaks
✔ Only install or service when the system is completely depressurized
✔ Drain completely after use
✔ Protect from frost
✔ Use suitable protective clothing and respiratory protection
FAQ – frequently asked questions
Is the WBA a complete blasting nozzle?
No. The WBA is a wet sandblasting head for adding water. A compatible blasting nozzle with a 50 mm coarse thread is also required and is not included in the scope of delivery.
What threads does the WBA have?
The WBA has a 50 mm male thread for mounting in the nozzle holder and a 50 mm female thread for accommodating a blasting nozzle.
Where is the WBA mounted?
The WBA is mounted between the nozzle holder and the separately available blasting nozzle.
Is the work completely dust-free?
No. Dust generation is significantly reduced, but not completely eliminated.
