Leasing & Hire Purchase

We offer the financing options leasing and hire purchase exclusively to businesses, commercial operators and self-employed persons for selected products with a net order value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between the two forms of financing.

Leasing

With leasing, the product is made available to the lessee for use in return for regular lease payments. The asset is recognized on the lessor’s balance sheet. Lease payments can generally be claimed as operating expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and VAT is charged throughout the entire term. Once the agreed minimum lease term has expired, purchasing the product is generally possible.

Hire purchase

In economic terms, hire purchase is equivalent to an installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Ownership of the asset transfers to the hire purchaser upon payment of the final hire-purchase installment. VAT must be paid in full with the first hire-purchase installment (a pass-through item).

Premium inner tube with particularly high abrasion resistance

During operation, the inner tube of a blast hose is continuously subjected to the blasting medium conveyed at high speed. The harder, more angular and more abrasive the medium used, the greater the internal wear.

The SuprimBlast has a particularly wear-resistant inner tube made of NR/BR. The abrasion value specified by the manufacturer is an average maximum of 35 mm³ according to DIN ISO 4649:2013.

A low abrasion value indicates high material resistance. The SuprimBlast is therefore particularly suitable for companies where blast hoses are used daily or particularly aggressive blasting media are conveyed.

🎯 Premium quality Q1:

With a maximum abrasion value of 35 mm³, the SuprimBlast offers greater wear resistance than the ExtraBlast in Q2 quality, with a maximum value of 50 mm³.

Suitable for highly abrasive blasting media

The Contracor SuprimBlast was developed for conveying particularly abrasive blasting media. These include:

  • Steel shot
  • Angular steel grit
  • Aluminium oxide
  • Garnet sand
  • Glass beads
  • Mineral reusable blasting media
  • Other dry and free-flowing blasting media

Suitability also depends on grain size, grain shape, bulk density, operating pressure, hose length and the dimensions of the entire blasting system.

The blasting medium must be dry and sufficiently free-flowing. Damp or clumped media can impair conveyance and block the hose or downstream components.

Electrically conductive hose construction

During the pneumatic transport of dry blasting media, electrostatic charges are generated by friction between the material and the hose wall. The SuprimBlast therefore has an electrically conductive inner tube and an electrical resistance of less than 1 MΩ.

The conductive construction supports the controlled dissipation of electrostatic charges via the connected components and the blasting system's grounding system.

Proper installation with suitable couplings, nozzle holders and a continuous grounding connection is required.

⚠️ Electrically conductive does not automatically mean grounded:

The conductive hose construction does not replace proper grounding. Equipotential bonding between the blasting machine, hose, couplings, nozzle holder and other system components must be ensured.

Wound textile reinforcements for high pressure resistance

Wound textile reinforcements are located between the inner tube and the outer cover. They absorb the pressure forces that occur during blasting and stabilise the hose against excessive expansion.

The multilayer construction allows a maximum operating pressure of 12 bar. The specified burst pressure is 36 bar.

The burst pressure is solely a test value and must not be used as the permissible working pressure. During operation, the maximum operating pressure of 12 bar must not be exceeded.

Aging- and ozone-resistant outer cover

The outer cover is made of an SBR/NBR rubber compound. It is black with a red fabric pattern and is designed to resist aging and ozone.

This protects the load-bearing hose construction from typical external stresses in industrial blasting operations. These include dragging across workshop floors, contact with dust, and fluctuating ambient temperatures.

Despite its robust outer cover, the hose must be protected from sharp edges, hot components, open flames, and being run over by vehicles.

SuprimBlast-25 with a 25 mm inner diameter

SuprimBlast-25 has an inner diameter of 25 mm and an outer diameter of 39 mm. This size is suitable for numerous professional pressure-blasting units with medium to large blast nozzles.

The hose offers a good balance of airflow, maneuverability, and weight. It is frequently used with mobile blasting systems and in stationary blast rooms.

SuprimBlast-25 is available in rolls of 20 or 40 meters.

SuprimBlast-32 with a 32 mm inner diameter

SuprimBlast-32 has an inner diameter of 32 mm and an outer diameter of 48 mm. The larger cross-section reduces flow resistance and is particularly suitable for high air volumes, larger nozzles, and longer hose lines.

Compared with a 25 mm hose, it can reduce pressure loss at the same airflow rate. However, the larger hose is heavier and less flexible.

SuprimBlast-32 is also available in rolls of 20 or 40 meters.

Which hose size is right?
Design Typical application
SuprimBlast-25 Professional mobile and stationary blasting equipment with medium to large nozzles
SuprimBlast-32 High air volumes, larger blast nozzles, and longer hose lines

The inner diameter of the blast hose should match the nozzle size, available compressor capacity, and required hose length. A hose cross-section that is too small causes increased pressure losses and can significantly reduce blasting performance.

💡 Rule of thumb:

The inner diameter of the blast hose should generally be at least three to four times the nozzle inner diameter. A larger cross-section is often recommended for long hose lines.

Selecting the roll length

SuprimBlast is available in rolls of 20 or 40 meters. The appropriate length depends on the working radius and the planned system configuration.

A 20 m roll is suitable for many typical mobile and stationary blasting applications. The 40 m roll offers a larger working radius or can be used to custom-configure several hose lines.

Unnecessarily long hose lines increase pressure loss and make handling more difficult. The hose length should therefore be selected only as long as is actually required for the working area.

Suitable blast couplings and nozzle holders

Suitable blast couplings and nozzle holders are required to connect the hose to the blasting machine and blast nozzle. The fittings must match the hose's respective outside diameter.

  • 📌 SuprimBlast-25: outside diameter 39 mm
  • 📌 SuprimBlast-32: outside diameter 48 mm

Couplings and nozzle holders must be suitable for the maximum operating pressure and secured in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. An appropriate coupling safety device must also be installed between two connected blast couplings.

⚠️ Select fittings according to the outside diameter:

The outside diameter of 39 or 48 mm is the determining factor when selecting suitable hose couplings and nozzle holders. The inside diameter alone is not sufficient for selecting the fittings.

ExtraBlast or SuprimBlast?
Feature ExtraBlast SuprimBlast
Quality Q2 Q1
Contracor marking Blasting media 2 Blasting media 1

Temperature-resistant from −30 °C to +80 °C

The SuprimBlast is designed for a temperature range of −30 °C to +80 °C. This means it can be used both in cool workshop and outdoor areas and at higher ambient temperatures.

The hose must not come into contact with open flames, hot workpieces, aggressive chemicals, or sharp-edged components.

📌 Safety and application instructions
  • Do not exceed the maximum operating pressure of 12 bar
  • Check the hose for damage before each use
  • Use only suitable blast couplings and nozzle holders
  • Connect couplings with suitable safety devices
  • Ensure continuous electrical conductivity and grounding
  • Do not kink the hose or lay it in bends that are too tight
  • Do not pull it over sharp edges
  • Do not drive over it with vehicles or heavy workpieces
  • Protect from hot surfaces and open flames
  • Replace damaged or severely worn hoses immediately
  • Fully depressurize the system before carrying out maintenance work

Inspection and Maintenance

Even a highly abrasion-resistant sandblasting hose is subject to natural wear. The inner tube can wear due to the conveyed abrasive without this being immediately visible from the outside.

The hose should therefore be inspected regularly along its entire length. Areas near couplings, nozzle holders, hose bends, and locations where the hose is frequently dragged across the ground are subject to particularly high stress.

  • Check the outer cover for cracks, cuts, and areas of abrasion
  • Check the hose for unusually soft or thin spots
  • Check that couplings and nozzle holders are securely fitted
  • Check the fastening screws regularly
  • Inspect coupling seals for wear
  • Check electrical conductivity and the grounding connection
  • Do not continue using severely worn hose sections
