Internal pipe blasting machine Hollo Blast HBC-1 + HBC-2, with trolley, for pipes with an ID of 65-300 mm

The Clemco Hollo Blast with an HBC-1 or HBC-2 centering carriage uniformly processes the inner surfaces of pipes with internal diameters of approximately 65 to 300 mm. The centering carriage guides the blast head along the pipe axis, enabling reproducible derusting, descaling, and coating preparation. Depending on the variant, different nozzle and material configurations are available. At 9 bar with a 12.5 mm nozzle, the compressed-air requirement is approximately 7 m³/min.

Leasing & Hire Purchase

We offer the financing options leasing and hire purchase exclusively to businesses, commercial operators and self-employed persons for selected products with a net order value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between the two forms of financing.

Leasing

With leasing, the product is made available to the lessee for use in return for regular lease payments. The asset is recognized on the lessor’s balance sheet. Lease payments can generally be claimed as operating expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and VAT is charged throughout the entire term. Once the agreed minimum lease term has expired, purchasing the product is generally possible.

Hire purchase

In economic terms, hire purchase is equivalent to an installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Ownership of the asset transfers to the hire purchaser upon payment of the final hire-purchase installment. VAT must be paid in full with the first hire-purchase installment (a pass-through item).

Shipping & Delivery

We ship our goods either via parcel service or via a freight forwarding company, depending on their size, weight and characteristics. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.

The delivery times stated in the online shop are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly agreed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.

A large proportion of the products offered are shipped directly from the manufacturer or from external central warehouses (direct shipment). As a result, delivery times may differ from the stated guidelines. In particular, material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure or other circumstances for which we are not responsible may result in delivery delays.

Disclaimer:

We accept no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, upstream suppliers, transport companies or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages, in particular indirect damages, consequential damages or loss of profit, is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Partial deliveries are permitted insofar as they are reasonable for the customer. They will not result in additional shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.

The exact delivery time for an item can be provided individually on request, either before or after placing the order.

If significant delivery delays occur, we will inform the customer without undue delay. Mandatory statutory rights of the customer remain unaffected.

Clemco Hollo Blast HBC-1 / HBC-2 with carriage – internal pipe blasting unit for 65 to 300 mm internal diameter

The Clemco Hollo Blast is a professional internal pipe blasting unit for uniform treatment of cylindrical internal surfaces. A deflection head distributes the blast around the pipe wall, while the matching centering carriage guides the equipment along the pipe axis. This enables rust, mill scale, and old coatings to be removed from pipes reproducibly.

The available HBC-1 and HBC-2 carriages cover different pipe diameters. Depending on the design and blast head, tungsten carbide or boron carbide components, as well as HBN-8 or HBN-10 nozzles, are available.

Your benefits
✅ All-around blasting of internal pipe surfaces
✅ Centered guidance for an even blast pattern
✅ Pipe ID from 65 to 300 mm
✅ HBC-1 and HBC-2 carriages for different diameters
✅ Variants with tungsten carbide or boron carbide
✅ For professional surface preparation up to Sa 2½

Variant overview
Variant Item no. Assignment
HB-1 90017D Hollo Blast with matching HBC centering system
HB-2 90011D Additional pipe diameter/material configuration
HB-3 90012D Variant-specific design
HB-4 90013D Variant-specific design

The exact assignment of HBC-1/HBC-2, nozzle, and material depends on the pipe ID and selected variant.

Application and sizing

The equipment is moved axially through the pipe. For consistent results, centering, feed speed, air pressure, and abrasive flow rate must remain constant. The blast hose must be adequately sized so that the required pressure is available at the equipment even under full load.

Maintenance and safety

Regularly check the deflection head, nozzle, centering carriage, rollers, and fasteners for wear. The equipment must be depressurized before being inserted into the pipe. Pipe ends must be secured against escaping abrasive; operators must never be in the direction of the blast.

FAQ – frequently asked questions

Which pipes is the system suitable for?
For internal pipe diameters of approximately 65 to 300 mm, depending on the carriage and configuration.

Why is a centering carriage important?
It keeps the blast head centered in the pipe and supports an even all-around blast pattern.

How is the right variant selected?
Based on the pipe ID, the desired nozzle material, nozzle size, and available compressed-air capacity.
