HMS 1 1/2" water separator for blast machines
The Clemco HMS water separator with a 1 1/2-inch connection reduces liquid condensate in the main air supply of professional sandblasting equipment. This helps minimize clumping, pulsation and blockages caused by moist compressed air. It is available with either a manual or automatic condensate drain. The unit must be sized to match the blasting system’s maximum air consumption, operating pressure and connection diameter.

Leasing & Hire Purchase
Leasing & Hire Purchase
We offer the financing options leasing and hire purchase exclusively to businesses, commercial operators and self-employed persons for selected products with a net order value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between the two forms of financing.
Leasing
With leasing, the product is made available to the lessee for use in return for regular lease payments. The asset is recognized on the lessor’s balance sheet. Lease payments can generally be claimed as operating expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and VAT is charged throughout the entire term. Once the agreed minimum lease term has expired, purchasing the product is generally possible.
Hire purchase
In economic terms, hire purchase is equivalent to an installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Ownership of the asset transfers to the hire purchaser upon payment of the final hire-purchase installment. VAT must be paid in full with the first hire-purchase installment (a pass-through item).
Shipping & Delivery
Shipping & Delivery
We ship our goods either via parcel service or via a freight forwarding company, depending on their size, weight and characteristics. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.
The delivery times stated in the online shop are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly agreed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.
A large proportion of the products offered are shipped directly from the manufacturer or from external central warehouses (direct shipment). As a result, delivery times may differ from the stated guidelines. In particular, material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure or other circumstances for which we are not responsible may result in delivery delays.
Disclaimer:
We accept no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, upstream suppliers, transport companies or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages, in particular indirect damages, consequential damages or loss of profit, is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Partial deliveries are permitted insofar as they are reasonable for the customer. They will not result in additional shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
The exact delivery time for an item can be provided individually on request, either before or after placing the order.

Clemco HMS Water Separator 1 1/2 Inches – Compressed-Air Treatment for Sandblasting Machines
The Clemco HMS water separator with a 1 1/2-inch connection reduces liquid condensate in the compressed-air supply of professional pressure blasting systems. Dry compressed air is essential for a consistent abrasive flow, as moisture can cause clumping, pulsation, and blockages in the metering valve or blast hose.
The large connection version is designed for high-performance systems with high air throughput. The water separator is available with a manual or automatic condensate drain and is selected according to the system piping, volume flow, and maintenance concept.
✅ Original Clemco water separator
✅ Large 1 1/2-inch connection
✅ Reduces liquid condensate upstream of the blast pot
✅ Supports a consistent abrasive flow
✅ Manual or automatic drain available
✅ For professional pressure blasting systems
Technical Assignment
| Model | HMS |
| Connection size | 1 1/2 inches |
| Function | Separation of liquid condensate from compressed air |
| Installation | in the main air line upstream of the blast pot |
| Design | according to system volume flow and operating pressure |
Versions
| Drain | Item No. | Feature |
|---|---|---|
| manual | 31229D | Condensate is drained regularly by hand |
| automatic | 31246D | automatic drainage when functioning correctly |
Installation and System Design
The HMS must be installed in the correct flow direction and, if possible, at an easily accessible point. The connection cross-section and actual flow capacity of the entire air treatment system must be at least suitable for the air demand of the nozzle used. The water separator does not replace a refrigerated dryer or desiccant dryer when particularly low pressure dew points are required.
Maintenance and Inspection
For the manual version, drain condensate regularly and before it reaches a critical fill level. Check automatic drains for unobstructed flow and reliable operation. Inspect the housing, seals, connections, and drain line for leaks. Perform work only on a completely depressurized system.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Does the HMS remove all moisture?
It primarily separates liquid condensate; water vapor may require additional drying.
Which version is better?
The automatic drain reduces the need for manual maintenance, but it must also be checked regularly.
How is the size determined?
Based on the piping configuration, operating pressure, and maximum air consumption of the blasting system.
